The Winery

ADEGAS GRAN VINUM

The Piñeiro Cores family has been cultivating vineyards for generations. From working the first small plots scattered across the region, where the Albariño grape was gradually introduced, to the founding of Adegas Gran Vinum S.L. in 2002, the winery’s history is deeply connected to Galicia’s winemaking tradition.

Our winery produces Albariño wine under the Rías Baixas D.O. quality seal, combining family expertise with a deep respect for the land.

Privileged Location in Vilanova de Arousa, Val do Salnés

The winery is located in Vilanova de Arousa, in the Val do Salnés subzone, at the mouth of the Umia River valley, right on the Ría de Arousa. This privileged setting, together with the Atlantic climate and the unique soil characteristics, gives the Albariño grapes their distinctive nuances and qualities that define Rías Baixas wines.

Awards and Recognitions – Adegas Gran Vinum Albariño

Over the years, Adegas Gran Vinum has participated in numerous tastings for wine guides, magazines, and specialized websites, where our wines have received excellent reviews.

They have been awarded in local competitions, such as the Cambados Albariño Festival, as well as in national (Baco Awards) and international contests (Bacchus) — a clear recognition of the quality of our Rías Baixas D.O. Albariño.

Family Tradition and Albariño Winemaking

Geography, grape variety, and climate are essential factors for a successful winery, but the true secret behind the excellence of our wines lies in dedication and respect for the land, passed down through generations.

Winemaker Enrique Piñeiro cultivates his own vineyards, oversees the harvest, and produces Albariño wine together with an experienced and highly skilled team.

His daughter, Andrea Piñeiro, plays an active role in the winery and carries on Adegas Gran Vinum’s family philosophy, ensuring the continuity of this tradition in the heart of Rías Baixas.
